A drain in Goodna is not
a drain in Ripley.
Goodna’s older streets run on earthenware clay laid long before PVC, with joints that tree roots find and flood silt settles into. Ripley’s homes are barely a decade old and block on builder’s debris and landscaping over the line. Parts of Bundamba and Collingwood Park sit above old coal workings, where ground movement leaves sewer joints displaced. Karalee, Chuwar and Pine Mountain are largely unsewered and run on septic and treatment systems.

Why does my drain keep blocking after it has been cleared?
Because clearing it treated the symptom. A drain that blocks repeatedly almost always has a reason: roots at an old clay joint, a section that has dropped and holds water, or a crack catching everything that passes. Until that is found, it will keep filling in. After the second blockage, a camera inspection costs less than a third clear.

The scope and the cost are agreed with you before any work starts, and if a job turns out to be bigger once it is opened up, that comes back to you as a decision.

No, and we would rather say so plainly. There is no phone number yet and enquiries here are answered by email, so this is not the place to turn during an active flood. Turn the water off at the meter and ring a plumber who can confirm immediate attendance.
