How we find the cause.
We follow the water. That means the collection points, the pipe route and the discharge point, because a blockage, a broken connection, a poor fall and simply not enough capacity all produce the same puddle. Knowing where your stormwater is meant to discharge is the first thing to establish, and on many Ipswich blocks it is not obvious.
Clearing a stormwater pipe and redesigning a property’s drainage are different scopes with different price tags. If the issue is levels, discharge points or capacity, the honest answer is that clearing the line will not solve it, and we would rather say that before you pay us than after.
What to send us
Photographs taken safely during rain are the single most useful thing you can send us, because the water shows us what a dry inspection cannot. Note whether the problem is new, which areas it affects and whether any landscaping, paving or building work happened before it started. Do not enter floodwater or open a pit.
What actually moves the price
Accessibility, pipe length, the blockage itself, any damage and whether drainage needs redesigning all affect the scope. Where a surface problem and an underground one are connected, we assess them together, because fixing one and leaving the other is how people end up paying twice.
