Churchill: what
actually goes wrong.
Churchill is a settled suburb south of the city centre, with post-war and 1970s homes on the streets between the Cunningham Highway and Deebing Creek. It is a short hop from Yamanto and Raceview and has a steady mix of long-term residents and renovators.
Churchill was built while drainage and plumbing materials were changing over, which means one house can have clay in the front yard and PVC out the back. Blockages here usually trace to one ageing section or a junction between the two, not the whole system. Original hot water systems, taps and drains across the suburb are now reaching the end of their service life at roughly the same time.
