How we find the cause.
For planned work we look at the appliance, the fuel type, the existing supply and what the installation requires, including whether the current pipe sizing can carry the load. The scope and the availability of a licensed gas fitter are confirmed before anything is arranged, because gas work is not something to improvise on the day.
Appliance servicing, replacing a connection and altering gas pipework are three different jobs with three different requirements. Share the appliance details early so the right work is scoped. Never attempt gas work yourself, and never use an appliance you suspect is faulty.
What to send us
For planned work, send the appliance make, model and fuel type, plus a description of what you want done. If you smell gas or suspect a leak right now, do not use this form: leave the area, and follow your gas supplier’s emergency instructions immediately. An email enquiry is not an emergency channel.
What actually moves the price
Appliance type, pipework requirements, access and any changes to the installation all affect the scope. Testing, commissioning and certification should be visible in the quote, along with whether the appliance itself is supplied or you are providing it.
