How we find the cause.
We isolate the affected supply where it is safe and practical, then locate the damaged section. The repair depends on the pipe material, its condition and how we reach it. Where the surrounding pipework is the same age and showing the same deterioration, we will tell you, because repairing one metre of a failing run buys you very little time.
On a significant leak, the plumbing repair is only part of the job. Wall or floor access, drying out and reinstatement may involve other trades, and your insurer may want to be involved early. We will be clear about where our scope ends so you are not left assuming someone else is handling the rest.
What to send us
If you can safely reach and operate your property’s isolation valve, turning it off limits the damage. Stay away from wet electrical equipment. For active flooding, call a plumber who can confirm they are on their way right now: our email enquiry form is not an emergency response service and should not be used as one.
What actually moves the price
Where the failure is, how hard it is to reach, the pipe material and how much of the run needs replacing drive the cost. Urgent attendance is priced differently from planned work, and you should confirm that directly with whoever attends before they start.
