A detailed camera inspection comes first, because the existing pipe has to be sound enough to host a liner. Where relining suits, the preparation matters as much as the lining itself: the pipe is cleaned thoroughly, the liner is installed and cured, and the finished repair is inspected so you can see the result rather than take our word for it.
A collapsed pipe, a badly misaligned one or certain junction arrangements can rule relining out or require other work first. Anyone who quotes relining without inspecting the drain is guessing with your money. Ask how the proposed repair deals with your specific defect, and how its completion will be verified.
What to send us
Share any inspection footage you have, plus what you know about the pipe material, depth and previous repairs. Point out access restrictions near the line. Ask for a written comparison of relining against the excavation alternative, including what each one does to the surface above.
What actually moves the price
Length, diameter, access, preparation, junctions and the type of defect all drive the price. Compare complete scopes rather than headline rates: inspection, cleaning, the liner itself, junction reinstatement and the final verification should all be visible in the quote.
