Marburg: what
actually goes wrong.
Marburg is a small heritage village on the old Brisbane–Toowoomba road, known for Woodlands homestead, its historic hotel and the annual show. Homes range from century-old cottages in the village to rural properties on the surrounding farmland, nearly all managing their own water and wastewater.
Properties in Marburg sit on larger blocks, usually with rainwater tanks and an on-site wastewater system rather than a sewer connection. That changes the whole exercise: long pipe runs, pumps and treatment systems mean a blockage or a leak can be almost anywhere, and guessing gets expensive fast.
